This vlog summarises the findings of the teacher survey I created and sent out. The intent was to find out how technology is being implemented into the classroom and what direction it's going and how to use it to our advantage as educators. For a full view of the results collected, please find the PDF ready for download at the bottom of the page.
The questions were as follows:
What are the central technologies you use in your teaching practices and how do you use them?
What other tech have you used for teaching and how?
If you were given a blank check, what technology would you get for your classroom/students and why?
What expectations do you have for teachers using technology in education?
How do you think technology changes the way you teach?
What do you think are the main challenges of technology in the classroom?
From a teacher's perspective, what are the greatest benefits and drawbacks of implementing technology in the teaching process?
From a student's perspective, what are the greatest benefits and drawbacks of implementing technology in their learning process?
How do you identify if the implementation of technology into your lesson has been a success?
How do you see technology changing the classroom and education over the next 5-10 years?
The results have been correlated and kept in the following PDF if you would like to view, of course, as mentioned it's far from comprehensive but it has given me some things to think about and consider. Maybe it will for you too.
