As teachers, it is important for us to gain actionable feedback from everyone in your professional environment from students to parents, from teacher colleagues to mentors and administrators. This feedback exercise is called a 360 degree feedback because I'm gathering feedback from all around you.
The information gained is an aggregate, yet specific and unbiased feedback that will help me improve my performance and give me direction for areas of professional development.
This is essential as the implementation of continuous professional development ensures I am always raising my standards and expectations of myself as an education, but it's also useful when being formally evaluated by your school, district, or employer.
Mentor Survey
I wanted to gain information from my mentor that would help me personally as a teacher as well as things that may be school/district specific such as how to maximise student engagement and improve the classroom environment from their perspective and experience, how to manage discipline problems, curriculum issues and specific school protocols.
Parent Survey
As for the parents I wanted to gain an insight into how well they feel their child/children are progressing and being supported, their feelings towards the level of communication and participation within their child's/children's education and their overall satisfactions with the school.
Student Survey
In this I attempted to measure the student's perception of the classes & engagement, perception of their teachers, their personal wellbeing and how well they perceive they are being supported.
Teacher Survey
For teachers, I wanted to find out how engaged they are with the school, their feelings towards working conditions, their views towards the values being taught and maintained within the school and what the quality of teaching is within the school.
All questions are limited to 10 because that's what survey monkey allowed. Additionally, no one wants to waste massive amounts of time, so the types of questions (multiple choice, sliders etc.) are used to make it as easy for the user as possible (minus the mentor survey as I feel this should be as in depth as necessary to maximise learning outcomes for the learner).
