Unit plans serve as a map that we can use to understand and navigate our student’s learning journey. By utilising a our goals and objectives for student learning outcomes, we can more successfully build a plan that meets our student’s needs better, provides a means to measure understanding, while also building a foundation to scaffold future lessons and instructional strategies from.
It can keep our lessons coherent and help us structure them in a meaningful and purposeful matter.
Whether we choose a thematic approach, goals-based approach or project-based approach to our unit planning will depend on our student’s needs, learning goals and the tools at our disposal.
In the following downloadable file you will find my Unit Plan, which has been built on from the previous unit.
