So, over this lengthy module of 6 weeks (8 if we are to include the festive holiday over Christmas and New Year), our cohort has been studying and building different elements of a Learning Environment Plan.

Basically, it's a plan that assesses the different areas required for creating and implementing a comprehensive, inclusive and welcoming learning environment and all the related areas associated with it.

For example it covers:

  1. Classroom Culture and Climate

  2. Classroom Norms and Behavior Expectations

  3. Routines and Procedures

  4. Transitions

  5. Responding to Traumatic Stress

  6. Technology Tools

  7. Communicating With Families

It's a pretty long read consisting of 23 pages so I won't put it all on this post, instead, you can download it below if you're interested.

Also, "Responding to Traumatic Stress" has its own blog post expanding on the types of trauma, symptoms and response strategies as a whole from my cohort as a group project which covers more than my LEP does. If that interests you then I think it's definitely worth a look and personally, I think it's worth at least knowing a little bit about these areas whether you're a teacher or not simply for the sake of understanding and being more knowledgable.
